Air Force Members and Their Families The Air Force Aid Society, as the official charity of the United States Air Force, agrees to accept "Gifts from the Homefront" gift certificates from individuals or companies who choose to donate the certificates to Air Force members and their families. Military Service Members Deployed in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF)/Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) - The American Red Cross will distribute your "Gifts from the Homefront" gift certificates to military personnel that are forward deployed in support of these ongoing military operations. (Not recognized as tax deductible donations).
Coalition to Salute America's Heroes Wounded Hero Emergency Financial Relief Program - Your gift will help provide direct emergency short-term financial assistance to support severely wounded and disabled military service members and their families as they recover from their wounds at military hospitals and treatment centers. Your gift will also help ease the financial hardships incurred by immediate family members and/or primary caregivers related directly to the care, treatment and recovery of severely wounded Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans. Wounded Military Personnel - These "Gifts from the Homefront" gift certificates will support military personnel wounded in action and those seriously ill being treated in military hospitals in the U.S. and overseas. Fisher Houses provide a "home-away-from-home" for service members and their families while a loved one is hospitalized at the military's major medical centers. Your donation of "Gifts from the Homefront" gift certificates will enable Fisher House to ease the burden for military personnel and their families at a most stressful time in their lives.
Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is a unique, non-profit, private, charitable organization that support America's Sailors, Marines and their families in time of need. The program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and the hardships of military service by meeting a humanitarian need beyond that normally provided by the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs. The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is in an excellent position to identify individuals and families who have the greatest need for these gift certificates. Operation Homefront is one of the country's largest nonprofit organizations dedicated to assisting the families of deployed military. Operation Homefront utilizes a network of more than 30 chapters and over 1,500 volunteers nationwide to provide critical support to the loved ones of deployed military personnel. Operation Homefront has helped over 20,000 families since inception in 2002. Your donation of “Gifts for the Homefront” certificates will help military families with emergency clothing needs, back to school supplies, appliance replacement, and other emergency needs. Operation Interdependence is a Civilian-to-Military Delivery System® that provides a means for Americans to demonstrate their support for our deployed military. Operation Interdependence® will include your gift termed "Civilian Rations®" (C-rats®), which are delivered to the troops monthly without negatively impacting the military delivery system. Service members receive a touch of home as each individual C-rat® contains a note and goodies (toiletries, snack items, phone cards, playing cards, DVD/CDs).
Soldier and Family Assistance Center, Fort Sam Houston Your gift of will be distributed by the Soldier and Family Assistance Center, Fort Sam Houston (SFAC). The SFAC offers a comfortable environment for injured Soldiers and their families to relax and socialize during the Soldier’s medical rehabilitation. USA Cares provides families of all military branches and ranks financial support during their time of need. Through a network of Resource Coordinators, USA Cares provides qualifying families direction and advice that helps assist them in solving day-to-day challenges. Our pledge is to provide 'A Hand Up, Not a Hand Out' while protecting the dignity and privacy of our military families. We are passionate about helping our service members and their families while they proudly serve at home and in harm’s way.
United Service Organizations (USO) Military Members Participating in USO Programs - Your gift will be distributed by the United Service Organizations (USO), whose mission is to provide morale, welfare and recreation-type services to uniformed military personnel. The USO provides a wide range of programs and services worldwide. As a result, our service men and women have the opportunity to experience a "touch of home" even while serving far away from loved ones. |
